Bella Varelis famously accused Irena Srbinovska of lying about how much she was in contact with Locky Gilbert during The Bachelor’s lockdown.
But during an interview with the Shameless podcast on Thursday, the brunette admitted she also lied about how much she’d been speaking to Locky while in isolation, to her castmate Nicole Campbell.
She reckons this wasn’t to be nasty, but in fact it an attempt to not hurt Nicole’s feelings.
‘She’d [Nicole Campbell] be like, “he hasn’t replied to me” and I’d be like, “you know, he hasn’t replied to me either”.
‘Then I thought, “God, why did I just lie? But I didn’t want to make her feel shit and it’s like having your best mate ask you for guy advice.’
Bella continued: ‘I just didn’t want to be like, “Well my love is amazing at the moment,” so it’s really conflicting, but I kept to myself a lot of the time.
‘This is why I’d get upset if people were oversharing or anything, I’d think, “Just keep it to yourself.”‘
