There’s another ‘affair’ storyline coming to this year’s season of Married At First Sight, but all isn’t quite as it seems and we’re confused.

And it’s between Booka Nile and Jake Edwards.

Despite the pair, who knew each other before the social experiment, insisting they’re just friends, a video of them sharing a New Year’s kiss emerged in January, with producers apparently planning to centre the whole reunion around the clip.

The video in question was shared by Beth Moore to her Instagram Story as the three co-stars all entered 2021 together, along with a few mates.

It featured Booka and Jake sharing a peck on the lips after the clock struck midnight, and then various other people around the table also pecking each other on the lips.

All very friendly and innocent, unless selectively edited and then conveniently circulated amongst the cast before filming the reunion in February?

We’re not sure how all of this is going to play out or if there’s more to the story, but the above is what we’re told happened.
