How much money would it take for you to get punched in the face by Sam Burgess?
Because for AFL player Heath Shaw that sum falls within the $60,000 – $80,000 range, which is apparently what he was paid for appearing on SAS Australia.
Earlier this week, The Daily Telegraph revealed the big (and not so big) paycheques from this year’s cast – with the wages ranging from nothing (ouch) to up to $200,000.
Taking home the highest fee is former NRL star Sam Burgess, who is said to have secured a $150,000 – $200,000 contract,
The second highest paid is former tennis star Mark Philippoussis, who signed on for $100 000 for the completed course.
In third place, Erin Holland, AFL player Heath Shaw, tennis star Alicia Molik, athlete John Steffensen and actress Isabelle Cornish all apparently received $60,000- $80,000.
Then we’ve got socialite Brynne Edelsten, former volleyball player Kerri Pottharst, athlete Jessica Peris, actor Dan Ewing, singer Pete Murray and athlete Jana Pittman who were on $50,000 – $70,000.
Controversial cast member Koby Abberton apparently got a little less than at, sitting at $50,000 – $60,000.
Politician Emma Husar is said to have received the lowest pay, taking home $25,000 – but that’s nothing compared to chef Manu Feildel, who ‘left the course without a cent’ cause apparently his participation in the show came under his contract with Seven.
