Sam Burgess won SAS Australia during last week’s intense finale, something which was apparently planned all along.
According to The Daily Telegraph, producers ‘had the Sam Burgess redemption narrative in their heads from day one’ before filming started.
The insider also claimed that during the finale Sam wasn’t actually able to complete the rope hanging challenge, because of his chronic shoulder injury.
Instead, the footage was allegedly edited so it looked like he endured the full 90 seconds.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail Australia recently claimed the show is ‘as fake as Married At First Sight’.
Another source told the publication that the final five recruits were each given fake ‘cover stories’ to memorise. Which they had to stick to during fierce interrogation by the directing staff, as if it was a real life hostage capture situation.
Yet during Dan Ewing’s interrogation, he was the only recruit accused of making up the story he’d been given – with Ant Middleton raging.
‘Dan recited the cover story perfectly, yet got ripped a new one. They were trying to suggest he made up this cover story when it was the cover story he’d been given as part of the challenge,’ the insider claimed.
They added Dan was apparently ‘never destined to make the final four’ – but none of this is confirmed.
