Channel Seven’s SAS Australia is beyond brutal.
After just two episodes, three of the celebrity cast members have already quit after being made to fall backwards out of a helicopter, literally fight each other and shit in a long-drop toilet among other intense challenges.
And if you’re wondering why the hell stars such as Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins, Ali Oetjen and Eden Dally even signed up for the show in the first place, we now have an answer.
According to Daily Mail Australia, the majority of the cast were paid between $30,000 and $50,000 to appear. Meanwhile, New Idea recently reported that Schapelle Corby was paid between $80,000 and $100,000 to make her reality TV debut.
Of course this isn’t confirmed, and we assume a percentage of their fees would have been waivered if they quit, but it’s quite believable.
During Monday’s season premiere of SAS Australia, Roxy Jacenko quit after six hours.
We caught up with the entrepreneur in Sydney later in the week to discuss her exit – and she did not hold back, blasting former best friend Candice Warner for punching her in the face and slamming Nick Cummins for his boxing match with Sabrina Frederick.
Watch out interview with Roxy above.
