They found love on this year’s season of The Bachelor and have been inseparable ever since.
And now Locky Gilbert admits that despite no engagement just yet, he knows that when he gets down on one knee to propose to girlfriend Irena Srbinovska, it’s going to be big.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, the 32-year-old said: ‘There’s no engagement. There’s no pregnancy, it’s all just rumours, we’re just having a great time together at the moment. I mean we’ve definitely talked about getting engaged, and if it is gonna happen, I’ll probably do something crazy for it.’
Um, Locky mate, it kinda takes the surprise out of it all by even saying that?
Locky’s comments come after Irena recently made the big move from her hometown Melbourne to live with Locky in Perth, which was easier said than done.
In October, she revealed that her visa application to move into the locked down state was rejected multiple times, and she was forced to leave her dog behind after eventually being allowed entry.
At the start of her two week quarantine with Locky, she shared this lengthy post to Instagram:
‘After many attempts I am finally in Perth. I had to apply for a G2G like everyone else, and it wasn’t easy. I was rejected time and time again but was finally approved. I didn’t get any special consideration because of the show.
‘My application was examined like everyone else. I am relocating my entire life here, I will be working as a nurse and this is a permanent move, hence why I believe I was given my pass. And for those asking the reason why my dog isn’t coming, my parents are very attached to my dog and so is he – so he will be staying in Melbourne which is his home. I talk to him everyday and he seems very happy with his grandparents and their undivided attention.’
Despite Locky not ready to propose just yet, we cannot wait to see what he has instore for his big proposal, when it does eventually happen.
