In a bit of an unexpected twist, The Wash may have accidentally stumbled upon this year’s Bachelorette in Sydney on Tuesday.
Or just a random woman called Sierra.
While driving through the eastern suburbs, our photographer Ben spotted a reality TV film crew heading inside luxury salon Joh Bailey Double Bay, and he recognised some of them from previously working on past seasons of Bachie.
They were filming a young brunette woman getting glammed up, and as soon as someone spotted our snapper outside, the crew did everything in their power to hide her.
We’re not joking when we say windows were blocked, and the potential new leading lady had to shove a big black hoody, sunglasses and mask on.
To stop us getting any pictures, the woman was then ushered out of the salon behind a big umbrella and put into a chauffeur driven car.
And then she raced off.
So, who the hell is she?
We overheard that the woman is called Sierra, and is from South London but now lives in Australia.
And that’s all we know. And may not even be true.

Why do we think she’s The Bachelorette?
In all honesty, she may be The Bachelorette, she may just be a contestant on The Bachelor or she may even be on another random reality show.
But that whole scene tells us she’s on something.
And in all of our years working across reality TV, Bachie producers are usually the only ones that ever go to these lengths to hide their stars.
We did initially think that she may just be a contestant on The Bachelor, but the girls are never filmed in situations like this. Their ‘backstory’ clips are usually focussed around their home life, careers and hobbies, not them in a salon.
It’s all a bit suss.
When is Bach due to film?
Last week we reported how Channel 10 were putting the finishing touches to this year’s new mansion, with filming due to start ASAP.
And it seems it has now started.
Usually The Bachelor films from approximately March to June, and then The Bachelorette it shot from around June to August.
So either they’re swapping that around this year and Sierra is The Bachelorette, or she’s just a contestant on The Bachelor and was randomly filmed in a salon. Or she really is just a random?
