Alex Mavroidakis, aka the executive producer of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, has revealed the scene he once had to edit out of the show.
Speaking to TV Reload, Mr Mavroidakis explained that during a previous season, a star accidentally admitted to cheating on their wife – and then begged for the footage not to air.
Here’s what he told the podcast:
‘There was a series where a celebrity told a story in camp about a girl he had been with. And he talked about specifics, in terms of what he had been doing on that day, what time of year it was. He then came running up to the [diary room] straight after that conversation and said, “It’s okay for you to use that scene, but please don’t say the time or the place because I’ve just realised I was still married at the time!”‘
Thankfully Mr Mavroidakis selectively edited the scene before broadcast, removing anything too specific that’d make the infidelity obvious.
Although he didn’t name any names, it hasn’t stopped fans trying to guess the identity of the campmate in question.
