The Voice Australia is set for a bit of a shake up in 2021, after Channel Seven snapped it up from Nine in August and are ready to give it a revamp.
And it seems the biggest change will be dumping international coaches Kelly Rowland and Boy George, who likely wouldn’t even be able to film if COVID-19 travel issues are still in place in the new year.
According to New Idea on Monday, they’ll likely be replaced by local stars, such as The Veronicas and Jess Mauboy.
Troye Sivan is also said to be a possibility, but this is unlikely as he’s mostly based in LA.
It seems Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian’s seats will be safe, given they both live close to the studio in Sydney.
Last month, Music Week reported that Keith Urban and Kylie Minogue were strong contenders to become coaches, but the uncertainty surrounding international travel will likely prevent this happening.
