The Married At First Sight Grand Reunion sadly ended on Tuesday night, and there were quite a lot of memorable participants who failed to make an appearance.

One of them being Davina Rankin, who famously had an ‘affair’ with Dean Wells during season five.

In a series of Instagram Story posts on Monday, the mum-of-one explained why she refused her invitation to attend, and in all honesty, we reckon it was probably for the best given how much her life has changed since the show.

Here’s what she had to say:

‘February, I can’t believe I am saying that, this year has gone so fast. I had had so many messages about the MAFS Grand Reunion last night. Yes, I did get invited to go, but I have a little munchkin at home now. I am very happy to leave that part of my life in the past. It was many years ago, I think it was four years ago that we filmed. For me to go back in there its unnecessary but it was really cool to see everyone from my season back there – but also really weird  to see just how much drama goes on in all the other seasons compared to ours! It was fun watching, that’s for sure. It’s definitely nice being on the other side of it. I like laying in bed watching it and not having wine poured on you, so that’s a win. Saying that, you guys know that [my partner] Jax and I have been ‘no TV and no devices’ for a certain amount of time now, so we’ve actually been a little bit naughty. We’ve been watching TV two nights in a row and it actually fucks with us. So back into the groove of things again.’
