AFLW’s Sabrina Frederick chose Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins as her opponent to fight during the first episode of SAS Australia on Monday.
And the surprising moment left many viewers anxious as to whether Nick, 33, would step up to the challenge, or simply refuse to throw a punch at his female co-star, 23.
‘I feel like my whole life is a constant fight. I’m a black woman in a same-sex relationship working in a male-dominated sport. I’m in this experience to prove that women can do this. I know what women can do, and I’ve never had men beat me, in my industry anyway,’ Sabrina said, explaining her decision to choose to box Nick.
As Nick then stood up to battle the sports star, viewers of the show were divided on Twitter.
Here’s what they had to say:
Can’t believe the honey badger punched the shit out of a girl on national tv #SASAustralia
